Sweet Mochi Peanut Dumplings
Combine the flour with 2 cups of water and mix until a sticky dough forms – the dough should be wet enough to bind together, but dry enough to hold its shape like play dough. Adjust the dough by sprinkling a little water on it or adding more flour until the desired consistency is reached. Roll the dough into small bite-sized balls about the size of a teaspoon and place the balls on a plate.
Combine the peanuts, sugar and kinako in a food processor and pulse until all the peanuts are crushed. Transfer the mixture to a shallow bowl.
Bring a small pot of water to a boil. Boil the dough in small batches of about 12 dumplings. The dumplings are done when they start to float.
