grams Brussels sprouts, trimmed (12oz)

grams Butter, (1oz)

Rashers smoked streaky bacon, chopped

200

grams Cooked and peeled chestnuts, halved (7oz)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

[edit] Preparation

Step 1

Place the Brussels sprouts into a large pan of boiling water and cook for 5-8 minutes until just tender.

Step 2

Melt the butter in a large frying pan and add the bacon. Fry until crispy.

Step 3

Add the chestnuts and drained sprouts and cook for a further minute mixing well. Add seasoning to taste.

Step 4

NOTES : A traditional festive way to serve Brussels sprouts.
