Peanut Butter Bars Recipe

Ingredients

Crust
1/2 cup oats
3 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
7 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
Middle Layer
1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups peanut butter (you can choose creamy or chunky, whichever you prefer)
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 graham crackers, processed to a fine crumb
1/2 teaspoon salt
Top Layer
5 ounces Semi Sweet Chocolate chips
3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Add graham crackers, oats, brown sugar, salt and cocoa to a food processor. Pulse until all ingredients are finely ground.

Add butter and vanilla and process until combined and crumbs are moistened.

Press into an 8 x 13 greased cake pan and cook for 10 minutes.

Middle Layer

Mix peanut butter, butter and vanilla together in small bowl.

Mix in graham crackers, sugar and salt.

Pour over crust and smooth over to make an even layer.

Top Layer

In a microwave melt butter and chocolate chips together. Stir until completely dissolved and smooth.

Pour over peanut butter layer and spread out evenly.

Let cool in fridge for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with Himalayan Pink Salt.

Return to fridge, and let cool completely to become hard.

Cut into small squares and serve!
