Japalac Cocktail

Ingredients

1/4 Juice of Orange
3/4 ounce Rittenhouse Rye
3/4 ounce Dry Vermouth
1 teaspoon Raspberry Syrup

Preparation

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass.

Shake with large ice and strain into a coupe.

Garnish with an orange twist.

About

Named for the once-popular Jap-a-Lac varnish from Glidden, which in turn took its name from Glidden’s use of Japan drier, an ingredient which sped up drying times.
