Sun-Dried Tomato Blt

Ingredients

1/2 inch ½ loaf french bread, sliced into thick slices
20 fresh basil leaves, medium
8 slices of cooked bacon, halved
15 sun-dried tomato slices
1/4 cup basil pesto
1/4 cup olive oil
1/8 cup fresh chives, chopped
5 tablespoons hellman's mayo (buy the good stuff!)
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon olive oil

Preparation

Mix chives, mayo, lemon juice and olive oil in a small bowl and set aside.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. brush olive oil on french bread slices and bake in oven for 8 - 10 minutes, until golden brown around the edges. remove from oven, let cool before spreading lemon chive mayo on each slice. next, place a basil leaf on each bread slice followed by a piece of bacon, a sun-dried tomato, dollop of pesto and a few sprinkles of parmesan cheese. indulge.
