The Cobb salad is a garden salad invented by Robert H. Cobb, first cousin of Ty Cobb. It was a signature menu item of the Drake Hotel, a hotel in Chicago, Illinois. Variations of the salad are now served in restaurants worldwide. Its main ingredients are iceberg lettuce, tomato, bacon, chicken breast, hard-boiled egg, avocado, and roquefort cheese.

c. mayonnaise

tbsp. chili sauce

tbsp. milk

2

tbsp. chopped onion

2

tbsp. stuffed olives

1

tbsp. green pepper

tbsp. lemon juice

¼

tsp. salt

tbsp. horseradish

slices bacon, crispy

½

head iceberg lettuce

½

head romaine lettuce

½

head bibb lettuce

c. cooked chicken

2

tomatoes

1

hard boiled egg

1

avocado

lb. mushrooms

Step 1

Mix together:

Mix dressing and refrigerate. Tear lettuce in bite size pieces and dry. Cut up other ingredients. Just before serving toss everything together.

Step 3

1 1/2 pound chicken equals 3 cups.

Step 4

To dry lettuce - tear and put into a pillow case and dry on last spin of Washing Machine. Yes, you read that right.

Step 5

Serves 8.
