Bread and Cream Sweet

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
2 cups water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons Orange Blossom Water
Toast bread, with edges removed, toasted. You need enough bread to cover a 9x11
1 cup whipping cream, whipped and cooled

Preparation

Carmalize one cup of the sugar . Watch it carefully, it burns quickly and you need to have it a nice golden/brownish color

Add the water to it and add the second cup of sugar to it. Let it dissolve

At this point, be careful adding the water to the hot sugar

Add the lemon juice

Toast your bread and remove the crust

Lay your bread in the pan

Add the carmalized sugar syrup to it. make sure you have enough syrup for the bread to soak completely in it. Let cool before you add your cream to it.

Spread your whipped cream on top of the cooled bread and sugar syrup.

Garnish with the pistachios

Serve cold with tea or coffee
