Strawberry Gelatin Cake

Ingredients

2 (3 oz.) pkgs. strawberry gelatin

1 white cake mix

2 pkgs. Dream Whip

1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries

Preparation

Dissolve 2 package strawberry gelatin in 2 1/2 cups boiling water. Set aside to cool.

Bake white cake mix according to box directions and put in a 9x13 inch pan. As soon as cake is removed from oven, poke holes in the top of cake with a fork. Pour the gelatin slowly over top of the cake and reserve 1/2 cup of gelatin for topping. Put cake in refrigerator to cool.

Then whip 2 packages Dream Whip, add 1/2 cup gelatin, 1 (10 oz.) package frozen strawberries which have been thawed. Spread over the cake, put cake back in refrigerator for several hours.
