All American Pulled Pork BBQ
All American Pork Rub:
1 Pork Shoulder (about 5- 6 pounds)
2 tablespoons paprika
1/2 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 tablespoon dried cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons white pepper
1 tablespoon Lawry's Seasoning Salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cayenne
2 cups Western BBQ Sauce (recipe on page)
Thaw and clean pork shoulder.
Place pork on piece of plastic wrap about twice as long as pork in length.
Rub pork with spices.
Wrap pork with plastic wrap.
Place in refrigerator for at least three hours or overnight.
Remove pork from plastic wrap and place in slow cooker.
Cook on low for at least eight hours or until pork pulls apart without effort.
Pull pork apart, removing fat.
Mix in Western BBQ Sauce.
Return to slow cooker and cook on low about 30 minutes.
Keep on warm for up to two hours for serving.
