Turkey Burger With Apple, Goat Cheese, and Caramelized Onion

Ingredients

4 ounces raw ground turkey breast (93%% lean)
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
Pinch salt, pepper
2 tablespoons crumbled goat cheese
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar

Preheat oven to 350°.

In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, apple, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Mix well with your hands and form into a patty. Place onto a small baking dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.

Bake 15 minutes.

While burger bakes, make the caramelized onions. Heat oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add onions and sugar and sauté, stirring frequently, until softened and deep golden brown (about 10-15 minutes).

Now, assemble the masterpiece. Top your burger with the caramelized onions and then the goat cheese. Place under the broiler for about 1 minute so that the cheese begins to ooze and melt. Serve burger on a soft bun with your choice of condiments.
