Grandma's Hamburg Pie

Ingredients

284 milliliters can of beef consomme
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 medium onion (diced)
1 tsp.salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons mild to hot salsa (optional)

Preparation

Pastry for two 9" inch pie crusts.

Combine torn bread pieces and consomme in a mixing bowl,set aside.

Cook ground beef,onion in cooking oil until browned.

Remove the meat mixture from the heat.

Drain excess fat.

Add meat mixture, salt,pepper,worcestershire sauce,bread mixture together

Fill Pastry with meat mixture

Add 1/2 cup of grated cheese to the top of the meat mix before top goes on

Bake 45 minutes at 375 degrees
.
