Hummus From Scratch

Ingredients

1 cup chickpeas
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon tahini sauce
1 teaspoon olive oil

Preparation

Soak chickpeas overnight.

Chop garlic.

Cook in pressure cooker for 25 minutes or boil until tender.

Blend chickpeas, garlic and tahini sauce in food processor until smooth.

Add olive oil and blend for 30 seconds.

Place mixture in bowl and mix in fresh squeezed lemon juice and cumin.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with pita bread.
