BeginnerTraditional "Greek salad", known as horiatiki (country or village salad) in Greece, is a simple salad of mainly tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, olives and feta that is often eaten in the summer months. Sometime green pepper, anchovies, oregano and/or lettuce is also added.

- 5 large ripe tomatoes
- 1 large red onion
- 1 large cucumber
- 1/4 pound greek feta
- 1 dozen Kalamata olives
- high-quality extra virgin olive oil
Instructions

Step 1
Slice the vegetables into bite-size wedges.

Toss the sliced vegetables in a bowl with olive oil.

Place feta on top of the salad or break it up into crumbles.
