cups all-purpose flour

cup sugar

teaspoon allspice

pound butter

pound green cherries

pound red cherries

pound white raisins

pound Brazil nuts

½

pound English walnuts

cup shelled pecans

¼

pound green pineapple

¼

pound red pineapple

grated coconut

sm. can crushed pineapple (not drained)

tablespoons cornstarch

1

stick butter

1 ½

cups sugar

1

lemon (juice and rind)

1

orange (juice and rind)

Step 1

Mix batter as for pound cake. Sift a little flour with cut up nuts and fruits. Mix all together. Put in 2 (9 inch) pans. Bake 1 hour at 275 degrees. Put together with filling.

Step 2

Combine ingredients, cook slowly until thickened (15 to 20 minutes). Cool. Spread between layers, top, sides of cake. Store in a cool place 10 days before slicing.
