Melba Toast

Ingredients

1 loaf bread, white

Preparation

Trim away all the crusts from the bread. Cut the loaf in half diagonally from one end to the other to give two triangular pieces.Using a sharp knife or an electric knife cut thin slices to form thin triangles. Lay pices on an ungreased oven tray and bake in a moderate oven for about 20 minutes until bread is golden brown, curled and crisp. The bread must be completely dried out.

Cool and store in an airtight container.

Serve with pates or dips.
