bot cabernet sauvignon or other fruity red wine |

grams sugar |

peaches yellow or white |

grams raspberries |

Step 1 |
Pour the wine into a stainless steel saucepan. |
Step 2 |
Add the sugar and the peaches. |
Step 3 |

Leave the peaches to cook slowly until they are thoroughly tender (about 20 minutes or so). |
Step 5 |
Lift them out with a draining spoon and set aside in a serving dish. |
Step 6 |
Turn the heat up and let the liquid boil until it is slightly syrupy. |
Step 7 |
Taste it for sweetness. |
Step 8 |
Add more caster sugar or honey if you think it needs it. |
Step 9 |
Pour the syrup over the peaches scatter over the raspberries and leave to cool. |
Step 10 |
Chill in the fridge turning the peaches occasionally in their syrup. |
Step 11 |
