Real French Toast

Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter
1 loaf brioche
1 cup cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch sugar
powdered sugar for sprinkling

Preparation

Whisk cream, vanilla, eggs, cinnamon, and sugar together in a bowl.

Cut thick slices of brioche and add to the bowl of batter.

Heat a griddle and melt the butter.

Add 4 slices of bread to the griddle at a time.

Don't flip until the bread has a that gorgeous golden and brown marbling that makes french toast so pretty!

I only like flipping my toast once.

It will be done when each side is golden brown and the center is firm.

Sprinkle powdered sugar over the toast and serve with warm maple syrup.
