Brunch Egg Dish

Preparation

Butter 9x13 pan well. Trim crusts on 10 slices of bread. Cube bread and put in pan. Grate 1 cup each Swiss and cheddar cheese and put in pan on top of bread. In a bowl, whisk 6 eggs, 3 cups of milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt. Pour over bread and cheese.

Pre-cook 1/2 pound bacon (until about half done). Crumble and sprinkle over the top. Cover with Saran Wrap. Put in refrigerator overnight.

Remove from refrigerator to counter in the morning. When ready, bake until golden and set (350 degrees for 45 minutes). Cut into squares and serve.

When guests arrive: Put egg dish in oven - takes about 45 minutes. Yield: 6 serving squares. Serve with breakfast sausages.
