quarts water, boiling

1 ½

gallons water, boiling

1

cup butter

10

pounds carrots, fresh

15

pounds peas, frozen

2

teaspoons salt

edit Preparation

Step 1

Add frozen peas to boiling water. Cover and cook gently for 6 to 8 minutes, or until tender. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Put carrots and salt in boiling water and cook for 15 minutes, or until tender. Drain.

Step 3

Combine peas and carrots with melted butter, or margarine.
