small Cross-Cut Beef Shanks

1

env Dry Onion Soup Mix

2

can Sliced Mushrooms, Drained & Liquid Reserve, 4oz Each

2

inch lrg Baking Potatoes Peeled And Sliced, ΒΌ Thick

medium Carrots, Pared And Halved Lengthwise

Step 1

Wipe beef shanks well. Thoroughly combine onion soup mix and liquid from mushrooms; stir in sliced mushrooms. Spread a small amount of mushroom mixture on top of each beef shank.

Step 2

Place sliced potatoes and carrots in bottom of crock-pot. Place beef shanks on top of vegetables. Pour any remaining mushroom mixture over the top.

Step 3

Cover and cook on low setting for 10-12 hours.

Step 4

Serve with unthickened gravy poured top.
