Taro Meatballs

Ingredients

1 kg Taro, boiled and peeled
Filling:
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small piece onion, chopped
100 grams ground pork
100 grams tofu, chopped
115 grams tomato sauce
1 stalk green onion, chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Preparation

Saute garlic, onion, ground pork and tofu. Add tomato sauce and green onions. Season with soy sauce and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes or until slightly dry. Set aside.

Season taro with salt and pepper. Mash until fine and sticky. Form every 2 tablespoon of taro into balls, then flatten.

Fill each piece with 2 teaspoon meat filling and form into balls. Deep fry in hot oil/ or bake until golden brown.

This recipe was a very big disappointment! Ugh. Waste of time and precious ingredients. I live in a city in which food ingredients are very expensive. I can't believe I spent any (a lot) of time on this.
