cup butter |

cups sugar |
4 eggs |

cups sifted all-purpose flour |

teaspoon vanilla |

teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional) |

teaspoon baking soda |

cup milk |
Step 1 |
Cream butter and sugar until well blended. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Sift flour and add nutmeg and soda. Add to mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla. Pour into cupcake pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
Frost with a frosting of your choice. Chocolate and vanilla are good, but get creative!
