[edit] Ingredients

900

grams fresh asparagus trimmed and peeled if necessary

4

tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (or butter)

salt

Step 1

For this recipe I use one of those grill pans that you just chuck on the hob or gas and allow to get smoking hot.

Step 2

Sling your asparagus on and allow to char on both sides.

Step 3

By the time it's evenly charred it should be perfectly cooked.

Step 4

Serve drizzled with the best olive oil you can get (or with butter) and season to taste with Maldon sea salt.

Step 5

Serves 4
