grams fresh asparagus trimmed and peeled if necessary |
4 |
tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (or butter) |

Step 1 |
For this recipe I use one of those grill pans that you just chuck on the hob or gas and allow to get smoking hot. |
Step 2 |
Sling your asparagus on and allow to char on both sides. |
Step 3 |
By the time it's evenly charred it should be perfectly cooked. |
Step 4 |
Serve drizzled with the best olive oil you can get (or with butter) and season to taste with Maldon sea salt. |
