Braised Cabbage and Chard With Turkey Kielbasa

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups red onion, thinly sliced
4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
2 cups chard, thinly sliced
12 ounces turkey kielbasa, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon thyme, fresh, minced

Preparation

In a large nonstick skillet over medium heat, add oil and onion. Cook for 5 minutes until tender.

Reduce heat to medium low and add turkey kielbasa. Cook for 5 minutes until heated through.

Add remaining ingredients and cook for 20 – 30 minutes until cabbage is soft. Add vegetable broth as needed to keep mixture moist.

Season with salt and pepper.
