pound pinto beans dried

quarts water

1

can tomatoes (1pound)

1

lrg onion chopped

8

inch slc bacon cut 2" pieces

¾

cup celery sliced

1 ½

teaspoons salt

¾

teaspoon cinnamon

6

tablespoons sugar

3

tablespoons vinegar

edit Preparation

Step 1

Wash beans; place in 6 qt. kettle with 3 qts. water and bring to a simmer.

Step 2

Cover; cook 4 hours, or until tender.

Step 3

Mix remaining ingredients with beans and cooking water. Place in 4 qt.

Step 4

Casserole; cover and bake in 350 F for 2 - 3 hours or until done. Add water if necessary.
