pound pinto beans dried |

quarts water |

can tomatoes (1pound) |

lrg onion chopped |

inch slc bacon cut 2" pieces |

cup celery sliced |
1 ½ |
teaspoons salt |
¾ |
teaspoon cinnamon |

tablespoons sugar |

tablespoons vinegar |
edit Preparation
Step 1 |
Wash beans; place in 6 qt. kettle with 3 qts. water and bring to a simmer. |
Step 2 |
Cover; cook 4 hours, or until tender. |
Step 3 |
Mix remaining ingredients with beans and cooking water. Place in 4 qt. |
Step 4 |
Casserole; cover and bake in 350 F for 2 - 3 hours or until done. Add water if necessary. |
