[edit] Ingredients

Veal for stewing (one to two pounds)

tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil

28

ounces can tomatoes

large onions, cut into wedges

(or more) cloves fresh garlic, crushed

1

green or red pepper, cut into strips or squares

black pepper to taste

Step 1

Cook veal cubes in oil until no longer pink.

Step 2

Combine veal with remaining ingredients in slow cooker.

Step 3

Slow-cook until meat is tender.

Step 4

Serve over rice or noodles.

[edit] About Veal Stew With Tomatoes

I use the "auto" setting on my slow cooker, which is two hours on High and the rest of the time on Low; it was done in about six hours but might have been ready earlier.
