scallions, finely chopped |

teaspoons red pepper oil |

teaspoons sesame oil |

tablespoons vinegar |

level tsp. sugar |

level tsp. crushed red pepper |

tablespoons vegetable oil |

pound Chinese Lo Mein (noodles only, in produce section) |

Step 1 |
Mix all ingredients except vegetable oil and noodles in a heat proof bowl. Heat the vegetable oil until almost smoking. Pour oil in a thin stream over mixture and stir immediately. Let stand about 15 minutes. Boil noodles in 5 quarts water with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil until tender (about 5 minutes). Drain, rinse and dribble oil mixture over noodles. Blend. Hot. |
