ripe Haas avocado coarsely chopped

tablespoon finely-diced red onion

tablespoon minced jalapeno

tablespoons fresh lime juice

tablespoon coarsely-chopped cilantro

Salt to taste

Freshly-ground black pepper to taste

Step 1

Combine the avocado, onion, jalapeno, lime juice, and cilantro. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for up to 1 day. Bring to room temperature before serving.

This recipe yields 1 cup.
