cup Granulated sugar

¾

cup Brown sugar, packed

¾

cup Butter or margarine room temp

1

teaspoon Vanilla

1

lrg Egg

2 ¼

cups Purpose flour

1

teaspoon Baking soda

½

teaspoon Salt

1

cup Chocolate chips

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugars, margarine, vanilla, and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until light brown

Step 2

(centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
