cup Sugar -- superfine |

teaspoon Vanilla |

Step 1 |
Spray 9" pie plate with vegetable oil spray. Combine whites, cream of tartar and salt in large bowl. Beat to soft peaks. Gradually beat in sugar. |
Step 2 |
Add vanilla. Beat till stiff and shiny. Spread in pie plate. |
Step 3 |
Using the back of a spoon form a decorative rim. Ba ke 1 hour, 15 min. at 275F till firm and crisp. Cool on a rack. |
