Hamburger
1/2 cup Sliced
mushrooms
and liquid
1 cup Chopped
onion
1 teaspoon
Oregano
1 lrg Crushed
garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon
Basil
3 1/2 cups Whole peeled
tomatoes
1 teaspoon
Salt
2/3 cup
Tomato paste
1/8 teaspoon
Pepper
1/2 cup
Water
Preparation
1
Brown
ground
chuck or hamburger with onion and garlic in large saucepan.

Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients.
Stir
to break up tomatoes.
Boil
gently, uncovered 1 hour.
Stir
occasionally.
Serve
over hot cooked pasta.
