[edit] About Neiman Marcus Cookies

As the story goes, a woman fell in love with the cookies at the cafe in the department store Neiman Marcus. She asked the waitress for the recipe, and the waitress replied it would be "two-fifty." The woman agreed, and the waitress gave her the recipe. However, the woman was unpleasantly to discover that her credit card had been charged $250 instead of the $2.50 she had expected. In revenge, she distributed the recipe to everyone she knew. While this fable is most likely a legend rather than fact, the addition of ground oats make for a delicious cookie. Plus, this recipe can be divided in half very easily.
