2 Dudes Steal Chicken Nuggets From School. Seriously.

May 18, 2011

You've heard of the Hamburglar, right? Well these guys are kinda like that, only real. And they really like chicken nuggets.

Meet Lawrence Dixon and Carl Dudley Crabtree, from Florida. They're the ones pictured in the mug shots above. These two master criminals broke into a school filled with computers, equipment and all sorts of stuff that has value, but instead grabbed a whole bunch of chicken nuggets from the cafeteria. Worst. Burglars. Ever.

In fairness to their robbery skills, first they stole money out of vending machines and some computer equipment, which makes total sense. But then the cops found 30 pounds of high-school-cafeteria frozen chicken nuggets, no sauce, set aside and ready be to loaded into the car, according to reports from WTSP in Tampa, Fla.

Maybe they serve chicken nuggets in the Florida prison system!

Not only is this story not funny (as you seem to try to be making it out to be), it's also not really about food, and it's written badly. You say "These two master criminals broke into a school filled with computers, equipment and all sorts of stuff that has value, but instead grabbed a whole bunch of chicken nuggets from the cafeteria." then go on to report that they DID, in fact, take computer equipment first. Just because there are food products involved in the story doesn't mean it's worth writing about on a food website.

What isn't funny about stealing 30lbs of chicken nuggets?

Well, this was worth a snicker upon first glance. But what if they were hungry? I mean, seriously, hungry like they really needed the food. Not justifying the crime, but just a thought.
