Walkers Crisps, which is run by PepsiCo, won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Lions Festival of International Creativity for a clever campaign that added spunk to the traditional sandwich.
Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, the ad agency behind the Walkers Crisps campaign, headed to the town of Sandwich in Kent to prove that Walkers could jazz up any sandwich. The agency enlisted a racecar driver, a boy band and a celebrity to play everyday roles within Sandwich, such as a taxi driver or bartender.
