Meredith Corp., which publishes magazines like Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle and Fitness, has acquired Recipe.com and the EatingWell Media Group, which publishes the magazine EatingWell. The additions will bolster Meredith's reach into the food sector and hopefully grow EatingWell's circulation from 350,000 to 500,000 by next year, according to MediaJobsDaily.
This morning, an EatingWell representative tweeted, "Now that EatingWell is owned by Meredith, it will be by leaps and bounds." Recipe.com, which launched this week, will feature a quarterly magazine along with its digital features and interactive website.
