Mick Jagger's Diet Keeps him Feeling Young

August 15, 2011

Mick Jagger just turned 68, but the Rolling Stones front man is still able to rock out with the best of them, all thanks to his diet and exercise regime.

Unlike most celebrities, Jagger's diet consists mostly of carbs and protein. He has a smoothie for breakfast and eats a lot of wholegrain bread, pasta, chicken, rice, beans, and potatoes during the day. When he's on the road, Jagger makes sure to eat a meal of pasta 4 hours before every show. In addition to his carb-heavy diet, Jagger loves his organic produce, especially avocados.

"I have to eat an awful lot," Jagger says. "People say: 'You're not eating.' I say: 'I just ate twice as much as you did. I watched you.'"

And believe or not, but Jagger makes sure to avoid alcohol. "It's too debilitating to drink a lot, so I use other relaxation techniques," he says. "I sit on my own, calm down, take stock."

In addition to his diet, Mick Jagger trains in ballet, yoga and Pilates. In preparation for a new tour, he will run 8 miles a day, take kickboxing lessons and swims.
