Amy Smart Serves Locally Grown Food at Wedding

November 19, 2011

Actress Amy Smart married famed carpenter, Carter Oosterhouse, earlier this year in an eco-friendly celebration. Since the two met at an environmental event, going eco for their nuptials just made sense.

The reception was catered by Trattoria Stella, a Michigan restaurant. Held in a tent, the dinner included creamy tomato soup shots, grilled cheese and ham sandwiches, heirloom tomato salads, lamb, and short ribs. For dessert, guests enjoyed blackberry crumble, cherry and apple pies.

The chocolate and vanilla wedding cake made by baker, Aunt B was topped off with sunflowers.

Since the couple went with an eco-friendly theme, Smart and Oosterhouse made sure all the food served at their wedding was grown locally. With the recycled paper products and a compost, the couple only had one bag of trash at the end of the event.
