Paula Deen and her Brother are Being Sued for Sexual Harassment

March 5, 2012

Paula Deen and her brother, Bubba Hiers, are being sued for sexual harassment by a former employee of Uncle Bubba's Seafood and Oyster House in Savannah, Georgia.

Lisa Jackson served as the General Manager for the restaurant between 2005 and 2010 and claims Hiers, who owns the restaurant with Deen, would often bring "inescapable pornography" to work, while also visiting pornographic websites on the kitchen computer.

Jackson says Hiers even once asked her to bring him a picture of herself when she was younger, saying "You have nice legs." She claims that he also once kissed and spit on her.

In one incident, Hiers allegedly referred to two female employees as "fat girls" and said they shouldn't wear carpi pants or skirts. In addition to those and other sexual comments he made, Hiers was heard using hateful language and would often make racist jokes.

Reps for Deen and Hiers have yet to comment on the situation.

Of course her brother's name is Bubba.

Why is Paula's picture at the top of this article, did SHE bring porn into the kitchen?

Also unsure how the "fat girls" comments were sexually harassing. Not a nice thing to say, (not necessarily untrue though, either...I certainly would have expected my boss to let me wear a muscle t-shirt around guests, I can accept that I ain't built for it, lol.)

So the GM put up with this for 5 years, quit in 2010, and is just now (when...jeepers...Paula's already in the headlines) to bring this up...

*Cough cough* GOLDDIGGER *Cough cough*

Lastly, just from one writer to another...the line should read, "Once, (JACKSON CLAIMS) Hiers even asked Jackson to bring him a picture of herself..."

What you wrote, if found to be untrue, or unprovable, is libel, as you state it as fact.

The whole sentence following "In addition" is libel, as well.
