Famed rocker and former Smiths front man, Morrissey, is about to release his autobiography where he talks about his vegetarian diet and his dedication to animal rights. The 53-year-old has been a vegetarian since the age of 11.
"It took me a long time to give up eggs, but I managed it. It's all a moral question, and whether you approve or disapprove of cruelty," Morrissey said. "It has nothing to do with food since there are an abundance of alternatives to eating death."
Morrissey also notes that in this day and age, "there's no excuse" for not finding alternatives to meat. "Meat is violence and horror and death and cruelty. Why put all that inside your body?"
Morrissey's autobiography is expected to be released in December.
