Yeah, I know, sauerkraut isn't exactly the first thing that comes to mind when you think 'cupcake ingredient'. But this recipe actually looks pretty dang good, and it has dark chocolate in it, so it's kinda hard to mess that up.
Ingredients:
1 can(s) (16-oz.) sauerkraut, drained
2 can(s) (14.5) pear halves, in light syrup
1 box(es) (18.25-oz.) devil's food cake mix
3 large eggs
1 cup(s) (fat-free sweetened) condensed milk
3/4 cup(s) (unsweetened) applesauce
1/4 cup(s) cornstarch
1 tablespoon(s) (unsalted) butter
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon(s) almond extract
1/2 cup(s) (flaked) coconut
1/2 cup(s) chopped pecans
