Black Bread With Roasted Carrot Hummus and Other Stunning Fall Treats

October 31, 2014

Black bread with a truly delicious taste seems to be impossible to find, until now. This amazing loaf is baked using bamboo charcoal powder as the colorant. It seems to be fairly tasteless and gives that stunning jet black color. We think it pairs well with the striking roasted carrot hummus, and want to eat up the entire loaf. We share that and other recipes that are beautifully satisfying and all perfect for the season. Let us know which ones you like best.

Black Bread and Roasted Carrot Hummus

From A Shaggy Dough Story

Black and orange make this bread go from a side to the main showpiece in any dinner setting. We are still amazed at the shade.

Orange Dark Chocolate Macarons

From Stephinthyme

Perfect for nibbling, these delightfully airy cookies are made even more wonderful by flavoring with orange and of course filling with rich, dark chocolate. They are almost light enough to be guilt free, and we think they are amazing.

Homemade Halloween Oreos

From Boston Girl Bakes

Oreos belong in everyone's list of sweet treats, so how about these homemade cookies with a glass of milk or in our case, a hot cup of coffee. So cool looking aren't they?

Kahlua Pots de Creme

From Friday Cake Night

We admit it. This isn't actually a fall themed treat, but hey, it's chocolate! Pots de creme is a decadent dessert that is a worthy craving for anyone who loves good chocolate. This one has the added depth of a bit of Kahlua.

Pumpkin Pie Nutella Pop Tarts

From Half Baked Harvest

Who doesn't adore pop tarts? You have never had a pop tart off the shelf like this one. Cinnamon and sugar swirled, pumpkin filled, and let's not forget the Nutella filling. These are the perfect breakfast treat.
