What is the process for entering The Foodista Best of Food Blogs Cookbook ? How do I enter a blog post to be considered for the book?

First, become a member of Foodista and create a profile if you haven't already done so. Then, submit your original mouthwatering recipe into The Foodista Best of Food Blogs Cookbook on the Contest Page .

What kind of recognition will I receive if I win?

In addition to being published in the full color, internationally distributed The Foodista Best of Food Blogs Cookbook winners will be announced on Foodista.com and at the 2010 International Food Blogger Conference (IFBC).

What are the prizes for winning?

In addition to being published, winners of The Foodista Best of Food Blogs Cookbook will receive a copy of the book. And, of course, winners will have bragging rights. Additional prizes may be awarded.

Where is the money going that will be made from this compilation cookbook?

The majority of the money will go to producing, distributing, and selling each copy. As editor, Foodista will receive a small percentage.

How is this contest being judged? Will winners be chosen solely based on user votes, or will the publisher be choosing the winners?

Everyone can vote on the Entries, including Entrants! The final decisions will be a combination of user votes and Foodista/AMP editorial. Part of the difference in a book is that once copy is in print it cannot be changed, thus there is a separate and more formal final editorial process.

Will we be able to see votes as they are cast?

You will not be able to see each individual vote as it is cast, but you will be able to see the average star rating on every recipe, the same way that every recipe is currently rated on Foodista.

Can I vote for my own Entry?

Of course! We encourage it!

Is there anyone who is unable to vote for the contest?

We encourage everyone to vote! You can even vote for yourself.

Can I submit an older blog post?

Since The Foodista Best of Food Blogs Cookbook is a compilation of the best food blogs of 2010 we would prefer to have submissions that were published no earlier than 2009. It's time to get cooking! You've got until the end of February to submit your best recipes, photography and food prose.

How do I vote for an Entry to win?

Simply click on any Entry in the Contest or search by the blogger's name for all their submissions. From the recipe page click the stars located on the upper left side of the page to cast your vote.

Can I change my vote after I have voted?

Yes. You can change your star rating for any Entry by adding or removing stars. You may change your vote at any time before the end of March for it to count towards the contest.
