About This Food

Rosematta rice is an earthy, robust rice often used in lamb, beef and other meat dishes in Kerala and Sri Lanka. It is high in fiber and rich in nutrients. The outer bran is removed and the grains parboiled, leaving the outer layer reddish/pink in color. It requires extra water and a longer cooking time due its previous parboiling.
