About This Food

A tisane (tea not made from leaves) is made from dried chrysanthemum flowers. Popular in China with dim sum. Popular in East Asia. To made the tea, steep dried chrysanthemum flowers in hot water. The tea is transparent and has a floral scent. In China, the tradition goes that once a pot of chrysanthemum tea is drunk, the pot is refilled to produce a slightly more weak tea. This can be repeated several times.
