About This Food
A non-glutinous, long grain rice similar to brown rice in that it is unpolished, leaving only the reddish bran. The husks are removed during milling, thus retaining all the nutrients in the bran and germ. The term cargo is from the idea that this type of rice is exported in bulk, then repackaged into smaller quantities by distributors to sell, unlike white rice which is typically prepacked by exporters in mcuh larger quantities.
