Tangor Citrus

A citrus fruit hybrid of the mandarin/tangerine and the sweet orange. The name is a combination of the two citruses: "tang" from tangerine and "or" from orange. Varieties include: King ("King of Siam"), Murcott ("Honey Murcott"; "Murcott Honey orange"; "Red"; "Big Red"), Ortanique (originally found in Jamaica, the name comes from the words 'orange', 'tangerine', and 'unique'), Temple ("Magnet" of Japan), Umatilla (misnomer "Umatilla Tangelo"). Satsuma mandarin varieties include: Iyokan (Miyagawa x Unknown sweet orange), Miyauchi Iyo (Early ripening Iyo mutant), Othani Iyo (Later ripening Miyauchi mutant), Kiyomi (Miyagawa x Trovita navel orange), Seto (Sugiyama Unshiu x Trovita navel orange)
