Glutamine is an abundant amino acid that is created naturally in the human body and therefore is considered a non-essential amino acid. Only when the body is injured or fighting an illness, is glutamine needed from food sources.
Foods high in glutamine include, beef, chicken, fish, eggs, milk, dairy products, wheat, cabbage, beets, beans, spinach, parsley and miso.
