Growing up in my Nona’s kitchen, I have a tendency to add garlic to almost any dish. I could eat pasta everyday if I allowed myself. But I gotta watch the waistline! I’m organized, enjoy being domestic, and like entertaining family and friends.
I currently live and work in the Washington, DC area. Now that I’ve completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, I have more time to cook and enjoy food. I’m looking forward to the day that I have my own (hopefully large!) kitchen and home to decorate, and of course a family to go in it and to cook for. I’m a firm believer of trying everything at least once… as far as food is concerned. My two favorite cuisines to cook are Italian and Southern comfort foods.
Why Single & Spice?
Some of my readers may remember this blog as “A Touch of Garlic.” The past year has been a year of change and it seemed fitting to change this, too. After all, I wanted to create an outlet where I wouldn’t feel pressured to only blog about food, although the majority of my posts will still be food-centric. Many of my recipes also have a story to tell, including tales of single life.
