Cottage cheese consists of small loose curds and is more moist than feta cheese. Feta cheese is somewhat harder than cottage cheese. Feta usually comes in a solid chunk, though it crumbles more easily than hard cheeses (such as cheddar). Feta can be crumbled or sliced. Feta is much more salty and has more of a distinct cheese flavor. In contrast, cottage cheese is very bland.
