  • 1 pound butter
  • 1.75 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • all-purpose flour
  • cinnamon sugar(optional)

In a mixing bowl, blend butter, sugar, and baking soda together until the mixture is soft and creamy.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Add the vanilla extract to the beaten eggs.

Gradually add flour to the butter mixture, mixing until a dough of the right consistency forms.

Lightly flour a work surface or board. Roll out the cookie dough evenly.

Using a drinking glass or a cookie cutter, cut out desired shapes from the rolled dough.

If desired, sprinkle the tops of the cut cookies with cinnamon sugar.
